Throughout the K-8 grades, the Turner County students have had the opportunity to not only learn the basics, but also to have their creativity broadened. When the students enter high school they continue learning in these areas but also are given the opportunity to work with machines and technical crafts that could possibly turn them towards future goals. A good example would be our technology classes morning news show. Each student participates and shares, among other things, the responsibilities of preparing the news, weather, writing articles, editing, and filming. The class also has built a solar powered automobile, and is learning basic robotic strands. The agricultural class has a greenhouse, where students get the opportunity to learn hands on the process of growing and caring for plants and vegetables. The high school has a business lab and a learning logic lab that is open 2 nights a week. This lab assigns individualized plans for each student. The library is also open 2 nights per week. Keeping the college bound student in mind, the high school offers a full college preparatory curriculum course and some AP classes.
The students can attend the dual enrollment
program at Moultrie Tech Turner County
campus. Our Turner County High School is also an active participant in the Army ROTC courses.

The Turner County Lady Rebels won the 1999-2000 Region Championship, and placed second in state competition for the A girls basketball championship. We are so proud of them! We had 7 seniors on the team and they were appropriately dubbed the "Magnificent Seven".

The Turner County school system is extremely proud and supportive of its athletic teams. These high school girls are showing their support for the Turner County Rebels basketball team. Go Rebs!!
