The Ashburn Turner Co Chamber endeavors to strengthen and make better the economic climate of Turner County primarily, but also sees the value of working to strengthen the South Georgia regionally.
Mission: The newsletter serves as a vehicle for news that serves to make TC a better community.
Guidelines are as follows:
The Executive Director of the Chamber will have final say in decision making for the newsletter.
Date of Publication: The Chamber office will produce the newsletter and email it to all members by the first Monday of the month, or sooner, with consideration for Chamber Holidays.
Chamber News: Will include all events, information, and news pertaining to the Chamber of Commerce & Turner County Development Authority. This may also include events the Chamber is partnering with to help market an event that is not specifically ours.
Member News: All Chamber members are welcome to submit information, advertisements, specials, contests, events that pertain to that member. Members are obligated to submit their item for publication before the last day of each month for it to be featured in the next month’s newsletter. Publications can be submitted to the designated email firstname.lastname@example.org
Community News: Non-Members of the Chamber are not allowed to submit advertisements, specials, contests, or events whose purpose is financial gain. However, non-profit organizations or community events (i.e. National Night Out, 4th of July celebrations) and other events that are for the good of the community are welcomed to be submitted and are up to the discretion of the Executive Director for inclusion in the newsletter.
Events, fundraisers, garage sales, charity fundraising plates not attached to a member are not allowed.
Example: The Red Wall Gallery and Event space is hosting a fundraiser for a person with an illness. The Red Wall Gallery may submit the event as a Member Event.
Example: Tom Ashburn is hosting a garage sale/chicken dinner fundraiser privately at his home to benefit another person with an illness.
Any event submitted by the Turner County School System is acceptable. Churches must register as a Non-Profit member to have their events included in the newsletter.
